Feelings are nice, but the Cherokee Nation is a sovereign nation, and in order to be a member, you must prove blood relation. Unfortunately, if you cannot trace any family members to any of the several rolls that are in existence, membership is not an option.

You can have a DNA test run. It is not too expensive now, my dad's Gma is 100% Cherokee and he is going to establish the link by DNA this spring when his tax money comes back. Don't listen to what others say...I did not know but knew I was different, I felt different and in sinc with the old ways, My Gma is Blue Clan and she had an excellent medicinal herb garden, people came from all over for her to help when they were sick.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
