My iphone suddenly shut off and won't turn back on. It's like it just completely died. It's only weeks old. What do I do?

I'd take it back to an Apple store. They can at least diagnose the problem and, in the best situation, repair or exchange it for you. If that's not an option, I'd call Apple Tech Support for answers.

I hope this gets resolved soon - good luck!

One other thing you can try if you have had it plugged in for at least and hour is a hard reboot. Press the power button and home button together until you see an Apple logo on the screen. This might take a minute or two so be patient.

If it doesn't cycle to the apple logo I would also recommend taking it back. Hope this helps, George.

Y'all are awesome! This is the first time this happened to me and I was freakin out. Tried the toggle silent thing and pushing the home and power button and I finally saw the light again, the pretty white apple.

Thanks again! Do we know why this happens?

If it isn't dead (covered under warranty) it is probable that you drained the battery completely. In that case, you won't see a thing for a while even if you plug it in. How long has it been since you plugged it in?

Also, put it on AC, not on the computer. If it has been more than an hour, then it is definitely bricked, just bring it to the store and play dumb. Don't volunteer information, simply say it stopped working and it has been plugged into AC for more than X hours with no improvement.

Ir's under warranty, so worst case you can take it to the Apple Store for repair or replacement. First, try these steps. (Apple Troubleshooting Assistant) apple.com/support/iphone/troubleshooting....

Just toggle the "silent button" above the volume rocker back and forth 2 times, and then press the home button and also the sleep button at the same time. The apple logo will appear right after. After a few minutes your home menu will appear again.(make take up to 10 minutes) Trust me ive had this problem before.

Pressing the home button and the sleep button together only didn't work for me. But when I toggle the silent button before I pushed the "hard reset" combo button, my phone was resurrected back to life.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
