If it only happens when your accelerating that would be spark knock. Your going to a higher octane fuel should have made a difference and stopped it. I'd have the timing set to factory spec, they would have to have taken the distributor out to replace the cam and I think they have it to far advanced.
You could loosen the distributor yourself and move it just a little in the direction that reduces the RPM that will retard the timing but only a small amount will be needed.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
