On your (I'm assuming ID) cable, you need the primary drive on the connector farthest from the mobo on the strip. Also, make sure your Hard Drive jumpers are set to primary or cable select (cable select MAY or may not auto-detect your configuration), or else the drive won't be readable. You can usually find a picture of hard drive jumper settings on the hard drive itself, but failing that, read the manual or find the manual online.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
