It sounds like she needs some professional counselling. In fact, I think you all need family counselling and let her vent. Why is she so angry?

I'm sure this is hurtful to your parents. How old are you and why do you sound so logical? This will not go away by itself; your family needs to get help now.

If she doesn't have the logic and rationale of doing so, kick her out of the house or you can be diplomatic and explain things to her. =) .

If she and your mum don't want to get therapy for this then what you can do is:Do not participate (including saying a single word) when sis complains. Learn how to just walk away from her, or her and mum when they fight, nonchalantly. Realize that it doesn't have to be your problem.

She may get over it if she doesn't get any feedback. Tell Mum this too. Don't react at all.

It's fun to practice this with your friends. Have them pretend to be shouting and mad. Practice having a completely normal look on your face, and not say anything.

It maybe her hormones. She may get better other years. Your mom may go to the school counselor and get ideas or watch Super Nanny on TV to stop bad behavior.

Your mom should do something fun with her to bond with her and you and then maybe your sister will cooperate more. Parents didn't have lessons in how to be parents. They are not trained like teachers to know what to do.

Just wish your mom and sister well and Pray for peace/harmony between then. They need to talk out issues and find a win/win situation. I know it is hard to listen to.

Get mom to call family services at your human services office. They can guide her about councelling services in your area. I would be careful about putting her on medications, which is the first thing the psychiatrists will want to do.

A good councelor can really help her. Mom needs to do some councelling sessions, also, to learn how to handle your sister properly. Our society and world are getting pretty crazy for the kids to handle.
