My wd smartware external hard drive won't work, the light up front keeps flashing.?

If you Manage to Completely Format this Device it may never be the Same. Yes you will probably lose that Function & Maybe Others like.. Some let you Password the Drive and make it more Secure ect. If you Really Want to Wipe the Drive then Download & Install Easeus Below... http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partitio... If That don't see the Drive or let you Wipe it I think the only method.. May be Within the Options/Preferences/Settings of the Drive Itself.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
