Dave is right - but be aware that unless you have had a dead or disconnected battery this is the first of what may be a frustrating line of failures related to GM's Passlock system. I have seen no record of anybody being happy with replacement of the BCM to correct persistent Passlock lockouts. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
