It can give the wrong initial impression to some others when there are far too many of them, but it's extremely common for many students to have a few. Both as familiar objects from home to personalise their room and also as lucky mascots. Those students who choose to have an image as very girly girls or as very camp gay men are usually the accepted exceptions and have far more soft toys than usual.
When I've occasionally invigilated during exams many students had an old and much-loved soft toy on their table, but they tend to be banned now because of the ease with which they may be used to hide cheating devices, whether they be technological or simple old fashioned written crib notes.
I live super close to there, small world. But hell, take whatever you want. I have all of my star wars and walking dead action figures lined up on my desk, and no one fucks with me.
Lol. My room mate has a little bear on her bed as well as cartoon sheets. You'd think 12 year olds lived there if we weren't there.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
