Good for you for taking responsibility. It's highly likely that, as you say, this is just your normal anatomy, but no-one at all will blame you for wanting to find out for sure. It will set your mind at rest, and you'll learn about the various normal lumps and bumps to be found in that area which you needn't then worry about when you do further checks.
Getting into the habit of checking yourself from an early age is a really good thing to do. Keep it up, and don't get scared.
It could be lots of things but you are smart because you do need to know so tell your parents and see a dr ..but don't worry too much I know it isn't easy but chances are its nothing.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
