Can we tolerate insanely tyrannical Democrats in office, like this Mayor who fires cops for joining Tea Party?

The 'tea party' is a corporate funded group of right-wing nutjobs (posing as a 'grassroots' movement). They co-opted the name from the original 'Boston Tea Party' although the average 'tea partier' (or teabagger as they are commonly known) can't actually explain the correlation between the two. They will mumble something about 'taxation without representation' or 'government oppression' despite not being able to show who is being 'oppressed' (especially with the bush era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans being extended).

Basically - they would be laughable, but with their bottomless corporate funding and celebrity endorsements, they've been able to drag an already paranoid and nationalistic (as opposed to patriotic - there is a difference) Republican party even further to the right. Since they claim to have no official 'leader', they can have a 'big tent' to include all kinds of wackjobs with every crazy set of beliefs and views known to man (from 'birthers' that claim Obama was born in Kenya, to Secessionists that want their states to secede from the union, anti-choicers, christian zealots/fundies/creationists, overt racists (yes - I said RACISTS - look at their f'ing signs for christs sake) etc. - and also allows allows them to deny responsibility for the fallout. As far as I'm concerned they can all go f**k themselves.

The Tea Party is an American populist political movement, which is generally recognized as conservative and libertarian and has sponsored protests and supported political candidates since 2009. It endorses reduced government spending, opposition to taxation in varying degrees, reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit, and adherence to an originalist interpretation of the United States Constitution. The name "Tea Party" is a reference to the Boston Tea Party, a protest by colonists who objected to a British tax on tea in 1773 and demonstrated by dumping British tea taken from docked ships into the harbor.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
