Need help finding title and author of a young adult book, I only have the plot?

Need help finding title and author of a young adult book, I only have the plot. Basically a girl comes into some money from her father and decides to buy an abandoned town. She invites her boyfriend (who lives in his truck that looks like a gingerbread house) and some other random people to live there with her.

They live pretty harmoniously for awhile. A building inspector or someone of the sort comes to inspect the town and says the way they are living is not up to code or health requirements or something. I don't remember much after that except that the book ends with some huge fight between the town kids and some other crazy people who claim the town belongs to them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
