I am serious, it is a very wonderful answer! Go check it out. Plus he continues to answer more of the users questions in the comments.
@buddawiggi did a great job. Everyone go vote for him!
I always read the answer of the day questions and comments, and I do find it interesting :) I think it's wonderful Mahalo is trying to reward those who answer well as I agree even being so new I see a lot of spam answers. I've never nominated anyone because honestly, though I've seen plenty of awesome answers I voted "helpful" to I haven't seen a whole lot that just, stuck in my head and made me go, "Wow, that really helped whoever asked that question, and probably some people that just happened to read it. " That to me is what deserves to be nominated for answer of the day.
If participation is what is making the contest disappear though, I think I'll lower my standards to just, "really awesome answer" and try to find one a day to nominate. :) I also agree having one of the staff pick a few until participation improves may help participation. Which sounds sort of odd, but if more people see "I could be nominated" rather than "I'm never nominated" more people are likely to visit the question and vote.
They may actually care, rather than thinking, "Meh, it's the same people everyday anyway. " Once those people see a wider range of people being nominated they're also more likely to nominate as the contest becomes popular again. I am just agreeing all over today, but I also agree the question should be one the front page, or is it possible to somehow "stickie" in forum speak a question to the top of ever tab?
That would also work. The answer of the day question gets buried rather fast each day. I doubt many users even see it and have just forgotten about it.
Though, I also noticed the number of questions alone seems to have dwindled the last few days, so maybe it's just a slow time for Mahalo answers.
Today I am nominating @robbrown for helpful answering of a burning question about SEO. mahalo.com/answers/mahalo2/announcement-... announcement-help-for-your-seo Please view his answer. I think it is helpful.
View that and make you justify jeff and leslie Proposal 1: New rules, its ok but I can say it that this contest will be lost it's huge popularity. I will propose you that please make another contest where we can make votes. Because it is community, if here is not role of our, it will be filled with bore.
I know many members who are like this contest most. So they will be sad. Proposal 2: I would say to change this rule again according that please nominate top 7 or a several number YOU and we will vote them.
But you have another right that everyday you will vote and your vote will be counted as golden vote and it will worth 3 general votes. These are just my personal opinion. Sorry because of writing here out of main topic.
@safiqulislam.
Now that the AotD has been closed, I can feel free to add my 2ct on this. In my humble opinion, the lack of interest for the AotD started with the restructuring of Mahalo related questions to the totally obscure and highly un-used "Mahalo Answers Community ". I don't think many actually uses those categories, especially newbies don't.
With that, the AotD has been confined to the 'happy few' that know of its existence. Newbies have no real chance of finding it, and even I, a former participant forget about it all the time. I understand that Mahalo staff wanted to avoid the cluttering of the main answers page, but instead of removing the few Mahalo related questions, it would have been WAY more effective to create a separate tab for Conundrum questions.
There are many times more Conundrum questions, which actually DO clutter the front-page, in contrast to the very few (less than 5 a day) Mahalo internal questions, that are actually interesting to all. Please bring back the Mahalo related questions to the front page, and move the conundrums to their own tab. Please?
My answer of the day vote goes to Unwirklich because she said what I think we all feel. Nowhere on any other writing site can we have so much fun doing what we do anyways.
Due to lack of interest in the contest the number of prizes has been lowered from 3 winners to 1. If interest increases back to the average of 10 participants we'll go back to the old format. If interest continues to fall the contest will be put on hold.
Please vote interesting to keep this alive! Welcome to the Answer of the Day Contest for October 21st, 2009. Congrats to @gno for being rewarded today's answer of the day http://www.flickr.com/photos/33749589%40N07/3916902523/ ~How To Nominate an Answer~ 1.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
