NEW FEATURE: Mahalo adds Twitter login! Sync your account now?

At this point, twitter login is just used as another option to verify a member in our system. Right now, when logging in with twitter, all the authentication is done through twitter, and twitter sends back a response if it was successful (this is why the redirect to twitter.com is required). Using this response, the site then looks for a corresponding Mahalo account, and logs you into your Mahalo account.

If one is not found, it will ask you to link an existing Mahalo account, and by entering your Mahalo account information, the system will now know that every time you Thus reducing the number of passwords and usernames you need to remember.

That is really excellent. Wow, I love how fast this site moves and adds features.

I might be missing something but, what does this do for me (and my twitter account) that logging into mahalo directly doesn't.

My Twitter and Mahalo account are connected in social matrimony. I think the upcoming idea of tipping based on how fast you tweet your answer is going to be fun. However, I rarely win at those things, but will enjoy seeing others reep the rewards!

I have a question to ask (unrelated to this one), so I'm off to post my first question here at Mahalo! =).

The day you add my site log in will be this site really takes off :-) That's the only secret I'm sharing with you right now, but I've got some really good ideas for Mahalo Answers Community. Oh, and if you have any ideas to share with me about partnering with Mahalo once my site launches, I'm open to talking to you, too! Sounds exciting!

Is it possible to login with both facebook and twitter, or do you have to pick one with each login. Also, will twitter and mahalo stay connected or would I have to connect with each login? (I stay logged on via my computer so I rarely use the 'login').

I use Facebook but not twitter. Either way, I don't understand what the benefit(s) of logging in that way would be. It seems to me that there would be drawbacks, such as the slowness of Facebook, and that when you log out of an application on Facebook it disconnects from the other applications that you have open in Facebook.

I'm not arguing that there is no advantage to these logins, but I'd like to hear what they might be.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
