This means one of two things: 1. The good news: It could be that the hard drive came unplugged inside. Open it up, or get somebody who knows their way around a pc to open it up, and make sure its plugged in.
2. The bad news: It is more likely that the hdd is broken. You have several options: 1.
If the laptop is under warranty, return it and get a new one, or a new hdd. 2. Get a new 2.5" HDD and put it in yourself/get somebody to do it.
Then you will need to reinstall windows, but that's the easy bit.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
