I know better.... from face to face interaction with them in their own countries... in their homes, on the street, and in their mosques and study centers.......... ALL muslims must obey the law of allah absolutely and without exception... it is the law of allah that islam is to dominate the world, and that ALL who do not submit to the law of allah are to be killed....that is FACT....it is also fact that many muslims are cowards and content to sit back and allow others to do the dirty work... those kind of so-called muslims are condemned by the law of allah, and will ultimately suffer the same fate as the infidels... unless they come into submission as the law of allah decrees...... If one would read the Koran, one will find out that Allah wants Muslims to kill the infidels (unbelievers) wherever they are found (Koran 9:5), and that peace will come only to those who submit to him (Koran 8:17, 48:29, and 65). The Koran also has Allah saying that unbelievers should be killed (Koran 2:191, 3:141, 4:104, 4:89, 8:12-16, 9:5, 9:73-74, 9:123, 25:52…), that Muslim apostates should be killed or chastised (Koran 2:39, 2:85, 3:85, 3:106, 4:89, 16:106, and 47:25-28), that the heads and fingers of unbelievers should be cut off (Koran 5:33, 8:12, and 47:4), and that Muslims should fight and humiliate Jews and Christians (Koran 5:18 and 9:29). Allah orders Muslims not to take Jews, Christians and other unbelievers as friends (Koran 3:28, 5:51 and 9:23), and will not forgive Christians (Koran 4:48 and 4:116).
Muhammad taught to put the infidels to death wherever they were found (Koran 2:191, 2:244, 4:89, 5:36, 9:5, and 9:29), urged Muslims to fight the unbelievers who are close (Koran 9:123), mentioned that fighting is obligatory (Koran 2:216), and mandated the conquering of those relatives who opposed Muslims because loyalty to Islam overrode all other human bonds (Koran 9:23-24, and 58:22). I will NEVER SUBMIT to the deceptions of the law of allah(islam/koran).
Spirituality is the state of mind, religion is its discipline. Islam is a very complex religion and needs considerable study to properly interpret and implement. However, without proper context, verses that appear to advocate violence are easily taken advantage of from certain viewpoints.
In my view, this is far easier to understand in Christianity where scripture that advocates peace, forgiveness and long-suffering are very prevalent. Christianity largely centers around belief in a man who died on the cross, rose again from the dead and did not take revenge on his enemies. He taught that even the most wretched among us has value and is deserving of dignity.
This is the tradition of the suffering Savior who came to save mankind and adherents are called to look to this person as their example on how to live. The ideals of this man are seen in the Declaration of Independence where it is written "we hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights..." I feel this is much harder to parse, at first glance, from Islam. Islam is, in many ways, somewhat Old Testament in its approach; where there is an avenging God that needs righteousness upheld.
From a certain point of view, this means strictly observing certain laws and removing non-believers, by the sword, if necessary. However, the greater intent of the overall message is being overlooked, what should be taken figuratively or allegorically, is being applied literally. That is why there are far more Muslim extremists than Christian extremists.
Because of the vast difference, it becomes absurd even to compare the two religions and their fringes especially in the 21st century. The Crusades, for example were implemented by solders who were primarily illiterate people who had no access to the Bible and followed the dictates of a Pope One of the drives of Protestantism was to educate all people and give them access to a Bible so they could decide for themselves what was truth. Once people began to understand what the Bible REALLY said, wars like the Crusades were difficult to repeat.
Certainly war was not ended, but became fought for primarily for secular reasons. But I digress. If properly studied and applied, Islam can indeed become an enlightened religious discipline of peace.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
