A toss up I think and species dependent..... These fish are predators and opportunistic omnivores ......You will more often than not read and hear that they will eat smaller fish and occasionally that they may not. You are taking a chance keeping them with smaller fish. I have been very lucky.
I have kept mine with small fish and they have never showed any interest what so ever. One of my dogfaces lived peacefully with a tiny neon goby and 3 Percula Clownfish for just over 2 years before he died. He was a good bit bigger than all of those fish.
There is a response to a query in the Puffer Feeding FAQs by Scott F ....."I had a friend who foolishly kept a tank full of about 8 or 9 2" plus Domino Damsels with his 5" Porcupine Puffer. Every night, a damsel or two would vanish! After losing 5 or so, he finally got the idea that this was not a good combination!"
If you want to try it I think your best bet in my opinion would be a Dogface. Start with a small one and do not feed it live ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
