Altho the thought is incomplete....I will take a guess at the fact that your poor kitty is bonding to your male cat even tho he was no friend of hers before. I do believe that animals feel the helplessness in losing an eye as much as people and perhaps the male cat lends security. I don't think it is a wrong association if it is helpful to your ailing cat.

Cats seem to bond with their own first before they even give a thought to us....very cat-typical. Hope she gets through this as well as she can.
