Paradoxically, I'm back--BECAUSE of the "trolls?

Paradoxically, I'm back--BECAUSE of the "trolls"! I was NOT being "dramatic" when I announced recently that I was leaving Askville--expecting to be "cajoled" into coming back (as some people thought). I fully MEANT it, and didn't intend to return (if at all) until all the "trolls" who have engendered such bitterness among the rest of us on here were gone!

However--paradoxically--I am returning early solely BECAUSE of the "trolls"! After one of them deliberately posted a "petition" to ask me to return (strictly so he could continue to "stalk" and annoy me), and then even went so far as to make homosexual advances to me through a THIRD account that he created, my ANGER was so great that I decided that I would come back to Askville with the specific goal of doing my best to RID this website of all the detestable people who come on here to intentionally provoke the rest of us! Fortunately, I actually have the Askville Team working with me on this, and--with luck--I'll be successful (along with the help of all the "good" folk)!

A virtual "MARSHALL, MARSHALL, HE'S OUR MAN...." As I'm the first to respond..... "I CALL SHOTGUN! " ......of course it's up to you to assemble your team. I've managed to attract a fair bit of animosity myself as of late.

I'm still sad...I shared some wonderful conversation with someone to whom I became close in friendship........Perhaps, no, I know I exceeded the boundaries of comfort level. With respect to that instance, I took it upon myself to back away...as much as it hurt and does so still. As for .....the rest?

Ya got me? No poking or prodding there. Only a complete and utter lack of understanding with regards to opinions that I offered on a sympathetic and diplomatic level.

Utterly bashed I was.......even blocked by one? As stipulated, I've known the pangs of tongue lashings from several. I at the very least continue to walk the high road and allow such people to maintain their dignity......Why the Hell does it intimidate people so?

1 Welcome back! Fortunately, you are not alone in working with the Askville Team to return this site to the place we once knew and enjoyed. There have been a number of us who have received messages within the past day from the Team looking for assistance and feedback.

I'm thankful the Team has finally focused their attention towards the harmful elements. I just received feedback from one of the Team members about my concerns, which I sent him yesterday. I'll be giving more feedback, since I wasn't able to devote much of my day to Askville, yesterday.

Paradoxically, just 3 days ago, I informed some of my friends here that I was taking a break. Lo-and-behold, then I received a PM from one of the Team members. Now, I'm looking forward to seeing what will become of all this.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
