I don't know where you live, but in most parts of the world, opening someone's emails without permission is illegal (same as opening an envelope that isn't addressed to you). This only applies to adults, and you are an adult. The internet time limit I can understand, if he's paying for it.
But everything else? I wouldn't put up with it. Try talking to them, and nicely remind them that you're an adult now.
Get a job (you don't need their permission). If they continue to be difficult, you can just move out. You might be able to apply for a student allowance as well, from your college.
Also, ask yourself if you really need that tablet right now. It might be possible to do without for a bit longer.
I am 23 years old and Middle Eastern. I have lots of friends from Peru, Columbia, and Puerto Rico. I have been to Puerto Rico a couple of times as well.
Anyways, My parents were just as strict as yours. Once I got a C on an exam, then I was not allowed to use any electronics for a year. This includes TV, computer(not even for homework-I had to hand write papers and explain to teachers that I had no computer), radio, mp3 player, CD player, or anything.
At 23 years old, I am still not allowed to date. I was not allowed to have a cell phone until I went to college. Now I moved out, but my parents still call me everyday and visit nearly everyday to keep an eye on me.
My Hispanic friends are the same. I know a Puerto Rican guy who was raised very well. He does not drink or smoke because of how strict his parents were.
My Peruvian friends are still not allowed to date at 21 and 26 years old. But they do respect their parents in that they wash the dishes and cook and help their parents around the house without complaining. Our parents are just overprotective.
Some good comes out of it. I am wise enough to know that everything they were doing did help me become who I am today. I avoid Rated R movies.
I never cursed in my life. I like to help people out. I am not crazy on technology like some people are.
And I learned the differences between right and wrong, good and bad. Feel free to click on my username and send me a message if you ever want to just talk about things. I get bored a lot and could use someone to talk to about life.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
