I always find it interesting what people say about raccoons. I'd bet that all these answers are from people that have never handled a raccoon. Raccoons are wonderfully intelligent, amusing, social animals.
You will never tame a raccoon. They can carry nasty diseases that can be passed to both humans and domestic pets, and in rehab we wear gowns, gloves and masks when handling them. Google "raccoon round worm" This is a common disease that they can carry without experiencing the symptoms themselves.
They are prone to both Canine and Feline Parvo virus, easily passed to domestic animals through feces. As babies, they have the very same requirements as all babies, full tummies, a warm and safe place to sleep, and a bit of companionship. With others of their own kind.
As they grow, they quickly become the wild creatures that they are, will bite, certainly growl, and attack if threatened. A full grown raccoon can be very challenging to handle, they are strong, fierce defenders. They climb everything, eat everything, poop everywhere.
I love raccoons, but respect that they deserve their freedom, just as I do.
Raccoon are nocturnal, so you need to stay up late. Raccoon are also wild animals and they aren't as cute as you'd think. They claw and sometimes claw and bite, so I wouldn't think they're good as pets.
They aren't house animals and leaving them outside, they could escape.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
