Well, after you have wasted two days in Disneyland...LOL that only leaves you a handful of days to absorb THE most wonderful of cities. Definitely take a guided tour in the morning, then after lunch concentrate on the most Parisian of sites and attractions, like the Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower... terrifying experience for me...lol, and the Arc de Triomphe by which time you will be ready for afternoon tea or coffee on the av des Champs-Elysees and much later, dinner in Monmartre. Consider also taking a cruise along the Seine or the Canal St-Martin...fabulous!
An absolute 'must' and one of my favourites is the Latin Quarter, so called because all communication was, up until the Revolution, in Latin. Also, if I remember rightly this is where you will find the Picasso Museum. It is in any-case the most wonderful artistic, bohemian type of area, with people lingering over their coffee in a romantic setting...OH, how I wish I was there right now... You might find the people rude and arrogant, who either cannot or will not speak English, yet alone Greek..lol, but I don't actually mind that, it's part of what Paris is.
To really discover Paris, do something spontaneous, like taking the metro to somewhere you don't know, and exploring what ever you find, and believe me you will find a lot. Someone, somewhere, once told me that it's a city of smells/aromas i.e. Fresh coffee, bread baking, Parisian women leaving their trail of perfume behind them... BTW, in July there are free Jazz concerts every Saturday and Sunday afternoon in Parc Floral.
Finally, which I almost forgot is the Centre Pompidou, it's an inside-out building you will love it!
................... oh my! If I were you, I would visit Johnny Depp! He and his wife (grrrrrrrrrrrrrr) are living in Paris!
*faints.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
