Seed mixes aren't a good diet and they can damper training. You'll need treats to train in most cases, anyway. I've never really heard of a way to train rats without some sort of food.

I am feeding them rat nuggets as thats what they were feeding them at the pet store (pets at home) and I didn't really want to change there food.
