Metal Gear Solid was immensely popular and the first experience with Metal Gear for many people, probably helped by it being on the PS1. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake saw very, very limited release internationally and were on different consoles entirely from MGS. The only official English release of MG2 to this day is the one included in MGS3: Subsistence.
A combination of MG and MG2's obscurity combined with MGS's popularity lead to many people thinking that MGS was the first in a series. This belief was helped by the sequel to MGS being titled MGS2, rather than Metal Gear 4 or something similar.
It doesn't really matter to be fair. Just play the games and enjoy.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
