And a JPG to boot so lossey... hmmmm. Got my attention. Here is how to go about finding the painter...Contact the catalog maker to determine who the photographer was.

Contact the photographer and send them a copy of the image and aske them if they know who the painter or could find out. Probably have to have a reason for asking... a good reason is "I would like to buy some of this painter's work. " The photographer would have to put forth some effort unless he/she knows right off so you are asking a favor of a stranger.

I do it all the time... you would be surprised what "strangers" will do for you. And in the full picture... none of us are truly strangers... that is my belief and maybe that is why I have no problems getting people to do these kinds of things for me... for the sake of art! .

I haven't a clue but I should warn you that a lot abstract paintings are done in production mode for the furniture industry to match fabric swatches. Now somebody will come in and identify this as a print of a Picasso or something -- no problem, I know nothing about the 20th century modernists. However I thought you might like to know it MAY not be identifiable.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
