Please recommend affordable GPS system. (mostly gonna using in Boston area) Price range will be 200~300$?

1) Mobile Phone Many phones do a good job of GPS routing these days. Blackberries are especially good at this. I use my Blackberry 8800 to get me around unfamiliar cities.

I can tell it where I'm going and it will take me there. 2) TomTom TomTom units such as the One are small, lightweight and do a very good job of getting around. This Christmas, after a lot of research, I bought a few family members these.

You can find them on sale for under $100. tomtom.com/products/experience.php?ID=39...

3) Garmin Garmin units are similar to TomTom units. They are preferred by pilots who are use to the Avaition industry standard user interface. In my research, I found that I liked the Tomtom desktop software and the day-to-day user interface of the units themselves better than Garmin.

These brands come at a variety of price points, with a variety of features and importantly a variety of support and warranty options.

You can find reviews, opinions and links to many of these units here: http://gizmodo.com/tag/gps/ 5) Computer Software This is my personal favorite option. There is a variety of computer software that in combination with inexpensive GPS receivers will guide you. I use this one: http://www.microsoft.com/Streets/en-us/default.aspx

The $80 version comes with a small (but accurate) GPS receiver that connects to your computer via USB.

I like this solution the best because I usually travel with my laptop anyway. Between business meetings, road trips and general errands, it's not uncommon for me to have my laptop in the car. The major advantage is that I have a large screen, massive amounts of content & points of interest (both online and offline in the software), and I also like to listen to the podcasts that I have on my computer while I'm on long trips.

In short, I get features that are only found in $1000 GPS units for the price of an inexpensive Tomtom or Garmin unit. When I get out of the car (if I need further directions), I have the GPS on my blackberry available.

I really like our TomTom One. We have the first generation and they have since come out with better versions. I like the interface and I like that there is a community that have been creating add-ons to make it even better.

The lowest priced TomTom One (TomTom One 125) is $180.

I'm driving around the Boston area and perfectly happy with our TomTom One 125, which we got for under $100. I think Dr. Matt is thinking of the "XL" version.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
