Demi-Pointe shoes are safe for dancing around in so you can get the feel of the shape of a real pointe shoe and get used to it, but you can NOT dance en pointe in them. Since the shank has been removed in demi pointes, the support the shoes give you to stand on your toes in them is also gone too. I don't like pre-pointe shoes as I feel they're a waste of money and because they're way to tempting for the excited pre-pointe student to try standing in pointe on them.
If you tried to stand en pointe in demi-pointes, you could seriously hurt yourself no matter how strong you are. One of the reasons we're able to stand in pointe shoes along with enough sufficient strength and training is because of the support the shoes offer. Also, you're ballet teacher is teaching both ballet AND pointe, and she doesn't even know how to do it properly?!
I don't care what others think, if you self-trained, you don't know how to do it correctly and shouldn't be teaching it in my opinion. Especially since that shows your teacher was irresponsible and impatient and didn't want to actually take real ballet classes and wait until she was told that she was ready. Same with the girl with no ballet experience.
It makes me sick how many people take a ballet class for a week, or don't take any at all and buy pointe shoes because they're impressive, and they want to be beautiful and impress all their friends. Guess what, you WON'T look impressive staggering on top of pointe shoes or on the floor with something broken. You'll just look like you're drunk and stupid.
Take real classes. It is incredibly dangerous and quite easy to sprain or break an ankle/toes if you self teach on pointe. Especially in demi-pointe shoes!
I've heard horror stories of people breaking their ankles just by trying to stand in fifth en pointe and letting go. If you're not ready, you aren't ready. This goes with demi-pointes and real pointe shoes.
How would you know what you're doing wrong or right? You can't tell what pain is good or bad, whether or not you're sickling, if your ribbons are correct, if the shoe fits, if you're learning everything wrong, if you're fully on the box, if your ankles are shaking, etc.... You certainly can't ask your teacher, she's self-trained herself! Also, If you tried to teach yourself in pointe shoes, you could totally ruin the shoe by breaking it in wrong.
You could break it in the wrong area, or even go to far as to snap the shank in half! Bunch of money wasted. So NO, it is NOT safe, and even if you DID had all of the correct items you needed and everything, what you want to do is stupid and not worth it.
You know what really impresses people? When you're asked how long you've been en pointe and you can proudly say "Oh, i've been taking ballet for over 5 years now and I take several classes a week along with pointe, it's a lot but worth it" THAT'S impressive. Go back to ballet if you want pointe and please, go to a different teacher!
Sorry if this isn't the answer you wanted, hope I helped.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
