Uhm I just finished reading how I live now by Meg Rosoff which I thought was an amazing book. It brought me to tears and somehow it felt like I was actually in the book. It was really intense at times and I really recommend it to anyone in their late teens.
This book is so unique, just the way it was written, I LOVED it and the characters emotions became my emotions. Im into young adult novels since im a teen so I really enjoyed novels by sarah dessen, which is mostly romance and teen struggles and issues. I really enjoyed dreamland and this lullaby not by.
13 reasons why was also a good book, not by sara dessen though. It was about a girl who commited suicide and just before it she sent 13 tapes to 13 different people who had an affect on her life and how what they did, impacted her final decision to end her life. Each person got to listen to all 13 tapes and it really shows you how your actions can have a snowball affect on others.
Another good book was Forever by Judy Blume (only if your a teenager, you will prob. Find it boring if your older). A walk to remember was also a very good book and was way better then the movie.
I was sobbing at the end. Go ask Alice, is another really good teen book and its the diary of a girl in the 60's who got addicted to LSD and eventually ended up dieing in the end. The author is ananoymous because it was actually a true story and the diary entries were actually found without a known author.
It was definately an interesting book. Another book you might be interested in is Electric Kool Aid Acid test which basically tells about the hippie movement and the cultural icons of that time You def. Have to know alot about the history of that era to understand it, and I had to actually re read the book to grasp what they were fully talking about.
Its by tom wolfe and if your older maybe like 16+ its a good book to read. Of course to kill a mockingbird was really good to read. You may find it boring at first but its def.
A must for people of all ages. I really enjoyed this book and it talks about racism and prejudice its just really really good! ,and romeo and juliet, if you anylize it and break down what shakespear is trying to say, you will find it very well written and interesting because there are alot of underlying themes and conflicts and its soo romantic!
Looking for Alaska by John Greene. Amazing book! The lovely bones, 5 people you meet in heaven, Stargirl are also other amazing books.
Also one book I reccomend you reading is Night by Elie Wiesel. I read it when I was 11 or 12 and it shocked and scared me so much I think I was too young to read it at the time and I was mature for my age. It was a book about the holocaust but it was in no way pleasureable to read.
It gives a totally different perspective on the holocaust and exposes the horrors for what they truly were. This book gives you a greater understanding of concentration camps and the things that went on in them. The end of the book leaves you feeling empty and depressed but it is still worth reading.
Its almost as if you were the one at the concentration camps and all the horrible things you've heard about the holocaust are multiplied by 1000. These are real documentations too, so anything there saying in the book actually happened. Its kind of scary...lol but so worth it.
I could give you about a million more but ive read so many good books I can barely remember them all haha. I love reading(.
OMG like the only good thing about being on temp disability is being able to read as much as I want. Just finished reading: Too Close To Home before that Fear The Worst both by Barclay a good scary one is Level 26 this is the first book of it's kind called a digi book because after every 20 pages or so you get a page that gives you a link. You go to the site type in the link and you get to see a little video clip of whatyou just read.
Man this was a good book. I almost was too scared to look at the link but I couldn't help myself and the links are not as scary as you think but real good. You can go to Level26.com for more info.
Spoiled Rotten America by Larry Miller. BQ: Harry Potter.
Before: Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Last Straw Now: Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Dog Days.
Death By Black Hole and I just started reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (i don't know why I started that one, i've read that series so many times I have them memorized).
A Brief History of Bad Medicine - Robert Youngston and Ian Schott. Only thing at Books-A-Million that looked interesting, and it is. I'd highly recommend it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
