Pound for pound, what are the best fighting freshwater fish you've caught?(list in order)?

Mahseer (from India). They come in several varieties. The humpbacks down south top 100 pounds and have been known to pull a coracle for hundreds of yards on the first run but the Golden Mahseer from the malayan Foothills have a better reputation pound for pound.

My husband is the fisherman and he says that although small, pound for pound the Herring is the best fighting freshwater fish. They will fight to the bitter end twisting and jumping until they are back in the water off the hook. Herring do not get as big as Stripers, but if one did get that big could you imagine the fight?

1. Pike 21.7, lb from the baltic sea lure was handmade in Finland, it took me over hour to get that fish to the boat.2. European perch 2.7lb, not the second largest fish I have caught, but that fish was strong for it´s size, lure was rapala rattlin.

There have been more strong fish, but those 2 are most notable.

Smallmouth bass. They are just a lot of fun on light tackle.

Wish I could say I caught it, but I had a 3 foot snook on my mom's pole, got to wrestle with it for a bit and got it on camera.

For freshwater fish, bar none, the (stripper) bass, then the small mouth bass. Pound for pound they are some of the best fighting fish.

For the size, we have two local fish that are hard fighters. They are the bluegill sunfish and the channel catfish. There are larger and more sought after fish, but these two fight hard from start to finish.

The Yellowtail was common in waters around California and Mexico, but has recently been overfished by Japanese fishing ships. Overfishing is becoming more of a problem as fishers move from areas in which this fish has become scarce to United States' waters in search of this fish. They spawn in warm waters 100–300 miles away from the Californian coast and return in May or June until September or December.

They spawn slowly but may live up to and in excess of 30 yearscitation needed.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
