Powder mercury to liquid mercury change method?

Elemental mercury is liquid. There are many salts of mercury.

Mercury is mined as an ore called cinnabar which is HgS or mercuric sulfide. The ore is crushed into a powder and mercury is separated from the ore heating in ovens and collecting the condensation.

You would not want to do this. Mercury is very toxic and breathing mercury vapor is not good. There are also many salts as previously mentioned and through acid and base titration mercury could be separated but there are different salts and you would need to know about mercury.
