Princess Diana or Princess Grace Kelly?

Grace was not a Hollywood Princess. Grace was the wife of the Head of State of Monaco....and her job was to function as his consort to represent the country of Monaco in a dignified way. The point of your project is so that you will research and learn the difference in what a celebrity or movie star is....and what a member of the family of the Head of State of a country is.

The two roles are very different. It is the BIG mistake that both Diana and Sarah Ferguson made....they thought they were supposed to act like publicity hound celebrities....instead of acting in a dignified way as being the supportive wives of members of the Royal Family. Sophie understands the difference perfectly well...and behaves accordingly.

So does Camilla...as does Princess Michael and the others in the family. Diana and Sarah never intellectually grasped the difference....and that was the cause of all their problems.

You don't explicitly SAY so - your question comes across to me as quite 'loose', not very specific.........but everyone knows that GK married into royalty. It sounds like your teacher simply wants you to 'compare and contrast' EFFECTIVELY, so you could pick just about any 21C celeb, really - just talk about what similarities there are in their lives, then what differences there are. You could even choose a male (difference (or contrast)), not even in the acting field (contrast, again).

It could be someone who has (similarity) or hadn't (difference) give up their career for something else (e.g. - Amy Winehouses career has virtually given HER up! , because of her addiction; the contrast here is that GK gave her quite successful career up for marriage into royalty (of another country)). The 'compare/contrast' goes on - countries of birth, socio/eco backgrounds, political leanings, marriage(s), even colour of hair, favourite colours!

, (if you want to get down to the ridiculously insignificant!) I guess if you were looking for someone royal, just find someone (anyone!) who is a 21C celebrity who is SOMEHOW linked with royalty. Catherine Oxemburg? And then expand all the similaities/differences between them to make your full report.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
