While I do not know anyone from Lithuania, I do have friends who came from nearby Poland and Czech Republic. They seem happy to be here, and have adapted to life in Canada quite well. As long as you can speak English (or French), you should be able to adapt to life here too.
A few things to know about between Canada and Lithuania: - The climate in most of Canada is similar to your home country. - We have ten provinces, much like apskritys. - Our tax systems are different, and people are taxed at higher rates if they earn more money in Canada.
- Canada's economy is heavily reliant on natural resources... Oil, minerals, metals, wood, fresh water, etc. - Canadians rely heavily on cars to get to and from work and to travel between cities. Our train system is not well developed because of the large distances between the destinations. - Our oldest city (Quebec City) only dates back to 1608.
So you will not see many buildings that are really old and historic. No churches or castles that are 500+ years old. - Much of Canada's population, especially in Quebec, are Roman Catholic.
But the demographics are changing as we get more immigrants arriving.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
