Well I only lived there for a year when I was really young... I think I was four. But from what I remember there were floods during hurricane seasons, lots of bugs and people always worried about kids going in water with alligators. I lived in Port St.Lucy which wasn't the most amazing area but it wouldn't be a horrible option to live down there.
But Port St. Lucy is on the East coast of Florida so I'm sure things are a bit different in the gulf coast. Either way it'd definitely be warmer, lots more to do and a whole new type of living to get use to. You'd probably still get hit with heavy rain but you can say goodbye to the snow ;).
I live on the west coast. Moved down from PA when I was a kidlet. No shoveling snow.
Long sleeves in the winter, you can swim from may - sept. The gulf is beautiful and the beaches pristine and free. We don't have any pesky state taxes except for sales tax, you can buy wine and beer at the grocery stores, and the home and property taxes are low.It does get hot but that's why AC was invented.
And you can grill 365! However, spring and fall is terrific and I throw my windows open.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
