Well, what you could do is first, save your Saved Game Data to your USB. One by one. If you use the Back Up Data Utility in the System Settings, there is a possibility that your PS3 will copy the "lag data" things that slow your PS3 down.
Then, if you have either Music, Photos or Videos, copy them as well. Format your PS3 by using the "Restore PS3 System" option. Choose either Quick Format (If you're in a hurry to be back on the PS3 again) or Full Format (Erases absolutely everything assuring the feeling of being in a new PS3 but takes at least 5 hours to 24 hours the most) then proceed and wait.
About your Trophies, don't worry. If you created and activated your PSN account in your PS3 before you played games on it like when it was still new, it's no problem because your trophy data would've been automatically sent online to your PSN Account. For Full Format, it may take so long, but you can kill time by doing other stuff like going out, watch TV or sleep.
A full format is very worth it because when I did this, it was absolutely my solution to multiple game freezes and junk in my HDD. Vacuum its air vents so that you can assure no over heating for a few weeks. And in other possibilities, if your PS3 is slow because of Hardware problems, I suggest selling your 80gb PS3 and buy a new PS3.
Hardware problems can be identified by: -Peculiar or uncommon noises when the PS3 is on -VERY hot air coming out of the air vents in just 5 minutes -Burning Plastic smell from the PS3 air vents My PSN Gamer Tag is ZephyrQuino Good luck and happy playing! Btw, does your 80GB PS3 have 4 USB Ports? If so, I need to suggest of taking good care of it.
It is quite prone to overheating but it can play PS2 game discs.
I have an older 40gig and a new slim ps3. They both seem to work the same if you ask me. I've never noticed a difference.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
