Pylons: __call__ and abort(), error code 500 instead of requested code?

Abort() is not working properly there so I'm using this code now: return HTTPBadRequest()(environ, start_response).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
