Question about Ron Paul's view regarding foreign policy?

The foreign policy of other candidates is what worries me. Ron Paul gets more donations from military personnel than Obama and all the other GOP candidates combined. Ron Paul warned us of an attack like 9/11.

Also, many of today's credible experts support his foreign policy. Listen to Michael Scheuer, former head of the CIA's unit on Bin Laden. Also listen to Paul Wolfowitz, our former Deputy Secretary of Defense.

Ron Paul wants to stop giving billions of dollars that we don't have to Israel. Why buy Israel's friendship? He wants us to be friends with Israel through trade, travel, and a sharing of information.

Ron Paul is NOT anti-Israel. He did not criticize Israel for protecting herself: he WANTS Israel to protect herself and be self-reliant. Israel is fully capable.

LISTEN TO THIS: Paul agrees with Israel's Prime Minister: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIMAyY7Io... Iran is not a threat, even if they develop a few nukes. Our politicians, likely involved with the military-industrial complex, grossly overstate the threat of Iran. Why go to war with Iran?!

For what?! This is another Iraq. We are bankrupt!

Iran knows that if they develop nukes and attack US or Israel, they will be destroyed! We have the strongest military and nuclear arsenal in the world. Israel is also vastly superior to Iran.

Not at all, but than I'm not a neocon nor do I believe that Israel is a U.S. Territory deserving U. S taxpayer funded defense spending (and U.S. lives lost) for what is essentially a "what if" situation. Did people not learn their lesson with Iraq & pre-emptive action (particularly with-out verification over sight).

Israel has borders that were established during its creation. As a member of the U.N. & a Nation that should want to support stability / peace in the world, we should be part of a coalition that says we will defend Israels right to exist a long those borders. Israel on the other hand isn't happy with those "borders" and routinely gives the finger to the international community, so why should we feel obligated to do anything on there behalf?

More to the point, Ron Paul is right in one regards...Wars should be declared by U.S. Congress. Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam etc. were never formal wars and yet U.S. troops / soldiers died. The Representatives that serve these soldiers never weighed in and said "We Declare War on X"....the President just decided for S&Gs he wanted to do it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
