One of Da Vinci's greatest pieces of art. It can not be the image of Jesus for many reasons: -The front image and the back image are different sizes. This can not be a human -The image was not distorted.
If you cover a ball in paint and wrap a cloth around it, you do not get a circular image on the cloth, you get a distorted image, the same is with any 3D object. -The blood on the shroud does not sink in to the cloth, it was painted on with a brush by Da Vinci for a "realistic affect" that only Da Vinci would go in to. -The shrouds age is dated many years after Jesus.
-The "face" is not painted with blood, it's BURNED in to it using a "Camera Obscura"* which is basically a sort of camera that was invented long before Da Vinci and uses light to burn an image into a cloth that has been treated with chemicals to allow for better detail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_obsc...
The Shroud of Turin is a large piece of cloth that was found, and has an imprint on it of a crucified man: As if the crucified man has been wrapped in it. Many believe it was the shroud Jesus was wrapped in after he was crucified. For a while people thought it was a hoax.
But recent tests prove that it is real. They used up-to-date radiocarbon dating (more reliable than regular carbon dating) to prove that it came around in early AD. They also traced the pollen, that was found on it, to Jerusalem.
One researcher also proved that the only way for such an imprint to be created would be by using a form of light that was nonexistent in AD (suggesting something miraculous) EDIT: Everybody above me should do their research. They have proven it true this past year. All the 'myths' about it have been debunked.
@ Lucifers angles: One scientist thought it was painted but all other scientists who have researched it disagree strongly. Therefore it is one scientist or 5 dozen scientists. I think I will agree with the 5 dozen scientists.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
