No. Rats NEED to be kept with other rats. Fact.
They are highly social animals that can develop a lot of problems when kept alone. Health problems, behavioural problems and emotional problems. Keeping a rat with a guinea pig will not work.
Rats need tall cages with lots of means to climb and explore. Guineas need more floor space. They need completely different food.
A guinea pig will not snuggle up with a rat in a hammock. And there is a big chance of them fighting or even killing each other. If you don't want to get another cage, you can't keep rats.
Even after the guinea pig is gone, their cage will not be suitable for rats. If you want rats, you need a different cage for them (notice I say THEM. Rats MUST be kept in pairs or groups) the rats can't live in the guinea pig cage.
Even if the guinea pig no longer lives in it.
Don't do it. Rats and guinea pigs need totally different cage set-ups. Rodents that are different species do not get along.
Just wait until your guinea pig dies, then you might be able to make the cage suitable for rats.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
