You are very well on track. Anything over 75 for any hubber is good.
There seems to be some sort of penalty attached if you're a new Hubber of under a year in service. I would say any new Hubber that's had scores 90+ is doing very well, and in the future, will be right up there with some of the best.
How actively you use all the features of the site play heavily into your score, as do the score of your hubs. 92 is good, but that number has absolutely nothing to do with how much you are making. My score is usually higher than Misha's, and Misha makes the money that I'd always dreamed of making with an online freelance writing hobby.
Artist-For-re and welcome to Hub Pages! Congratulations on your score. I am relatively new here as well, my score seems to fluctuate between 90-93 and I am told this is very good for a "newbie", therefore you as well must be doing great.
Thank you to everyone who has responded to this question and welcomed us noobs so warmly. Since we can only answer questions once, I will do my best to explain, briefly. As I posed this question here I also posted the subject in our forum (under the same title) and received some great feedback too.
From my understanding, Hubpages has some excellent moderators who are quick to pick up on people trying to fudge the numbers and beat the system. For those who wish to improve their score:I dedicate about half an hour per day to answering questions, asking them, getting involved in the forum. All of my hubs are well researched, well grouped and well linked - inside Hubpages and to relevant external sitesI have several followers now - though I follow few people.
I leave a comment in every hub I enter though I only enter hubs that interest me - I leave long comments like this that offer encouragement, constructive criticism and I am conscious of using keywords that will strengthen the hub's status in search engines. If I love it, I share it (on BookFace...hehe) I always cast my votes (score up/down AND useful/funny/beautiful) All of this behaviour has happened *naturally. * I believe the system picks up on this and disciplines unnatural trends.
Great read here for more info...hubpages.com/hub/How-New-Hubbers-Ruin-th... again and good luck to you all xx.
I joined 10 days ago and I'm at 82. I guess, just write a lot of really long hubs. I usually write How to's or Biology related hubs.
I just joined 8 days ago and my score is almost 80. You should probably shoot for 90. I think the average score is around 85-90.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
