To be honest. I have never watched either of those shows. I have watched the new Kendra though and a couple episodes of Holly.
I am more into the game type shows where the contestants are trying to win something.
I have watched and enjoyed the dancing with the stars shows, but none of the other shows called "reality. " Never have liked any game shows except jepardy. I admire the talent on american idol, but can't stand to watch it.
They drag the whole thing out so long, so I wait and watch toward the end. Sometimes I have watched the first show and been lucky enough to pick out a person who has come in second. That is fun.
I don't like competitions of any kind. Never have.
No, I have not as yet been bitten by that bug. Probably because I remember television before "reality tv. " It draws tons of people, I know, but it's bound to be a fad and will fade with time.
I love Glee..Great show I enjoy American idol...I love raw talent....The best seldom wins..due to 1 million teenieboppers girls voting 100 time each for the cutest boy I also enjoy NCIS and Criminal Minds and Bones.
And don't say they don't because the producers, directors and writers are in charge, their doing it for money and no one hates anyone unless the script demands it.. Now, as far as you (or any reality tv lover is concerned) Just enjoy it, it's what you like and the emphasis is on.. Entertainment. But, just like wrestling, don't always expect the best to win.
I got hit by the bug a few years ago. Do you remember when we had The Bachelor, then later on The Bachelorette. I would say right now I love American Idol and The Amazing Race too.
If you watch any television these days (and for quite a few years now) "reality" shows will be thrust on you. I despise all of them. They have ruined television for me.
I was okay as long as they stayed away from the story channel and the Food Network, but now we have "reality" scum shows on the Food and no telling what else. In my opinion, the fanatics of shock and awe have won, and sane and intelligent entertainment has flown the coop.
There was a time when I was hooked on TV. But that was over 4 yrs. Ago.
Because reality TV is the most 'staged' (...and very badly at that) of TV shows, in that the crucial element needed is the "drama" to make it work. They actually halt in mid-production to coax and prod the "actors" into giving a 'good' drama performance. As a major medium, TV would best be served as strictly an immediate source of information in either local or world wide news formats.
Otherwise, for the intellectual, it is a dead format as it currently is. For the trailer park denizens, it's the 'real deal'!...
So IDK about you, but I love me some reality TV. The shit is ridiculous! I am sorry LOL but seriously?!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
