They are bounded by the basic law of alchemy: in order to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value. The main character is the famous alchemist Edward Elric - also known as the Fullmetal Alchemist - who almost lost his little brother, Alphonse, in an alchemical accident.

Edward managed to attach his brother's soul to a large suit of armor. While he did manage to save his brother's life, he paid the terrible price of his limbs. To get back what they've lost, the brothers embark on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone that is said to amplify the powers of an alchemist enormously.

They’re very unique series, but here are some suggestions: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - It is the ultimate! Monster Hunter X Hunter Hunter X Hunter 2011 (remake of HxH from beginning) Guilty Crown Durarara Mirai Nikki Another Fullmetal Alchemist (not the same as Brotherhood - see difference at the bottom) Yu Yu Hakusho Deadman Wonderland Fate/Stay Night Fate/Zero (prequal to Stay Night) Towa no Quon Elfen Lied Chaos;Head Steins;Gate Eureka Seven Baccano (Fullmetal Alchemist starts off just like the manga, but the story strays to a different situation. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, sticks to the storyline of the manga.

There are character, story and other huge differences. Treat them as two different series that have nothing to do with each other).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
