Anime Like Death Note, And Code Geass?

Kaiji - One of my all time favorites. Involves a lot of strategy, and also a lot of luck. Basically, Kaiji is deep in debt, and to escape he joins a one night gambling cruise in hopes that he can cancel out all his debt.

He is kind of an idiot at first, but he comes up with brilliant strategies and plans to face his adversaries. Watching Kaiji fight for his life is amazing. Legend of the Galactic Heroes - It's basically a much more epic Code Geass.

It's very slow, contains much dialogue, and you really have to think to understand most of it. It's a complicated show, but involves war, strategy, philosophy, politics, etc. One Outs - Baseball + gambling = win. Basically, Tokuchi Toua is a pitcher who can psychologically analyze his foes, and using strategy, overcomes them.

He's a real badass. Akagi - You'll need to learn Mahjong. Some of the strategies used int his show are incredible.

Liar Game (manga) - High stakes gambles. Much strategy involved.

Lol I love animes like that...my top 3 detective animes are deathnote, code geass, and spiral....you should watch spiral cuz ya it has all the strategy and messing with your head kinda thing...its also a manga...the anime is 26 episodes long...so ya you shud watch it plus the main character is cute...:P.

(The first one's mostly for Death Note) Monster- Both top tier anime for the Mystery genre. Very entertaining and very well done. If nothing else binds these two anime together, than their flawlessness would do just that.

Three of the voice actors from DRRR (Jun Fukuyama aka Shinra, Daisuke Ono aka Shizuo, and Hiroshi Kamiya aka Izaya) play very similar personalities in Working! Seriously. It's like the slice-of-life version of Durarara.

Darker Than Black- Darker than Black and Code Geass are both in a technological world where the protagonist have a very powerful ability. There are lots of pizza hut hidden in the background or just somewhere on the screen. Suspense and fights, thats what they are all about.

One night when stopped at the town of Pasloe, he finds in his wagon a pagan wolf-deity girl named Holo who is over 600 years old. She appears to be a 15-year-old girl, except for a wolf's tail and ears.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
