There are two types of people in the Tea Party movement. 1) Right-Wing Populists that are fiercely opposed to anything affiliated with Democrats, Liberals, Gays, Blacks (minorities in general), and anything or anyone they they perceive as un-Christian. 2) Fiscal Conservatives and Libertarians.
These people are concerned almost exclusively with the economy. Sadly the Right-Wing Populists have been hijacking the Tea Party movement ever since Obama took office. The populists do not help the GOP because they terrify the moderates, and moderates/independents are needed to win any election.
They said the same thing about the Nader green party types. Funny but I'm seeing conservatives and liberals recycling and driving fuel efficient cars now. Maybe 20 years down the road, we can get everyone on board to state that the Constitution should be the only thing the Feds should use to govern with...as it was designed to do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
