In politics, it's always been a lot easier to energize people whose party isn't in power, because they are angrier and see more of a reason to go to the polls. People usually take power for granted once their party gets it.
As a moderate Dem who voted Ob: He had an excellent chance to greatly expand the Dem base. He carried NC & INDY! He should have reached out to those new Dem voters, but instead he went the opposite direction & aliented them and a lot of the Dem base, by pandering to illegal aliens w/ the AZ law debacle, and to the Jihad w/ the GZ Victory Hamasque debacle.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
