Republicans claim that voter ID laws are an attempt to combat widespread voter fraud. The only problem is that no such fraud has ever been revealed. In an exhaustive public records search, News21 reporters sent thousands of requests to elections officers in all 50 states, asking for every case of fraudulent activity including registration fraud, absentee ballot fraud, vote buying, false election counts, campaign fraud, casting an ineligible vote, voting twice, voter impersonation fraud and intimidation.
Analysis of the resulting comprehensive News21 election fraud database turned up 10 cases of voter impersonation. With 146 million registered voters in the United States during that time, those 10 cases represent one out of about every 15 million prospective voters. http://votingrights.news21.com/article/e... In other words, in-person voter fraud accounts for 0.000007% of votes cast (that's seven millionths of one percent).
Since voter fraud is not the real issue we are left with only one possible reason for these laws - a covert attempt to disenfranchise likely Democrat voters.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
