Retainers versus Ortho Braces: I'm 21 years old and have a slight overbite. Could this be corrected with a retainer instead of expensive braces?

My daughter had her braces removed after 2.5 years. Her top teeth are now fanned forward. The dentist said that it is an overbite and and will fix itself in two years.

I find this hard to believe. Why after braces does she have an overbite when she did not have one before braces? ...Visitor from VA (answer) • Thumb Sucking: My 9 year old son still sucks his thumb and it is causing a significant overbite.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent him from sucking his thumb before getting braces put on? We have tried putting nail biter solution on his thumb and it did not deter the thumb sucking. ...Visitor from IL (answer) • Top teeth angled inward: Is it normal for teeth to be angled inward to corret an overbite?

My daughter has a small lower jaw and the orthodontist said he did all he could without jaw surgery. We are not pleased with the inward angle. Can we ask him to pull them back straight and forget correcting the overbite?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
