Rick Santorum..Gay rights.?

I don't remember him quoting the bible as a source for a case against homosexually. I looked online and didn't find anything. Birth c ontrol: Santorum says he wouldn’t try to take away the pill or condoms.

But he believes states should be free to ban them if they want. He argues that the Supreme Court erred when it ruled in 1965 that Americans have a right to privacy that includes the use of contraceptives. Birth control, even within marriage, violates his beliefs as a Catholic.

Last year Santorum told the Christian blog Caffeinated Thoughts that as president he would warn the nation about “the dangers of contraception” and the permissive culture it encourages. “Many of Christian faith have said, ‘Well, that’s OK. Contraception is OK,”’ he said.

“It’s not OK. It’s a license to do things in the sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be. ... If it’s not for purposes of procreation, then you diminish this very special bond between men and women.”

Santorum has campaigned on a pledge to end all federal funding of birth control, which low-income women in some states receive through the state-federal Medicaid program.

President Obama has cited the "holy Koran" many times in speeches. Your essay should cover how Marriage laws in general, and Gay Marriage in particular is a STATE ISSUE and the President, no matter who he is or how he feels not only CAN'T but SHOULDN'T have any effect on weather or not it becomes law. The federal government is limited by the Constitution.

A fact that seems to be all but forgotten these days. There is NO federal law on the issue, and there likely never will be. People always look to the President for these things that they really should be looking to their own state capitols for.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
