I was so much fun when people could make up their own topics. They were original and funny. Now they are just boring, and sometimes don't even apply.

And let's not forget topics like "Red Breasted " "War Kittens," "Hot Asian Luv" and perhaps my personal favorite "Tennis Balls To The Groin." Life was so much simpler then - and this place was more fun! .

Askville: it wasn't broken, and they fixed it. There was layer upon layer of depth, and they homogenized it. It was open discussion, and they closed it.It was facts and feelings, and they buried it.

It was random crap, and they crapped on it.

I do I do. Selecting a topic that would enhance the question one way or the other was half the fun. "We're havin' a heat wave, a topical heatwave....."....But NOW....BOO!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
