Probably, I'd choose Rottweiller for the sole reason that I'm familiar with that breed, thanks to my wife. And they're very friendly dogs, very intelligent (two pluses to match my personality right there), and they much enjoy the ear-scratches and belly rubs (I'm not going there. ) But the competitions are about appearance, primarily, and that's merely what one is born with.

I'd have no choice in that. I could do the tricks (if trained), but that's another competition.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
