Rush Limbaugh made the point that Obama's healthcare logo looks like a Nazi symbol, which is somewhat true, but probably doesn't mean anything. However, for years extreme conservatives have been called Nazi, and nothing could be further from the truth. Nazis, in addition to being horrendously bigoted and violent, were for animal rights, public education, public health care, organic foods, and environmentalism.
Nazism elevated the government to be the god and savior of the nation. Some liberals view government the same way: the solution to all our social ills and problems. Conservatives believe that government is here to protect us and our property from criminals and foreign invaders, not to educate our children, feed our poor, treat our sick, or control our lifestyle.
The comparison is extreme, but if you wish to make the bizarre claim (as Nancy Pelosi did recently) that conservatives are Nazis, then we will point out which party actually has more in common with National Socialism.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
