Same-Sex Sibling Incest: What are your thoughts?

There are only two valid concerns regarding incest, and that is: 1. Consent. 2.

Likelihood of passing on negative traits. In this case especially, neither of those is a concern. I say let them do what they want.

Even with a heterosexual pair of siblings having a sexual relationship together, there are ways to prevent pregnancy, so why not? Most people think of incest as being a non-consensual relationship between a parent and a child. They become upset, especially if they have kids of their own, because they never want their child to be hurt.

And then there are groups such as the Fundamentallist Latter Day Saints, who practice incest and non-consensual marriage of minor girls to much older adults. In my opinion, we should concern ourselves with these issues of consent, and leave the other people alone. We'll accomplish a lot more that way.

(Because if it's just an issue of consent, children and animals will always be left out of the picture - they can't consent, so then it is never legal. And anyone else who doesn't want to have an incestuous relationship will be covered by the law, because they don't want to.) Edit: Guys, this person is saying, "No answers such as SICK! Nasty!

Etc" because some people will just say something like that, rather than giving a rational reason. People often say that they don't think queer people should have rights because they think that queer people having sex is disgusting or against their religion; they don't ever give a reason that would hold up in an American court. So the questioner is asking for a real reason that could be used as a basis for law, and one that is not based on gut feelings.

Plenty of people think incest is gross but still agree that consenting adults who want to have an incestuous relationship should be able to do it.

If they're old enough to understand what they're doing and agree then it's no business of anyone else what they do. But I'll always think it's sick, gross, nasty etc etc just because it's not something I would do and the very idea of being with a close relative truly disgusts me and I guess that's why most people object to incest, because it's not something they would do. I do hope you're not comparing homosexuality to incest because that doesn't really belong here, they're not the same at all.

You can try and justify it any way you like, but they're not comparable.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
